We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information about you. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the Site.
COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We collect Your Member Information at various points when you use the Site. We use the data that we collect to tailor your experience on the Site, showing content that we think you might be interested in, and displaying the content according to your preferences. Please note that MY PROFESSIONAL CENTER DOES NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT OR MAINTAIN INFORMATION ON THE SITE FROM THOSE UNDER 18, AND NO PART OF THE SITE IS INTENDED FOR USE BY THOSE UNDER 18.

2. When You "Surf" the Site
Log Files
Like most standard website servers, we use and maintain the information that we obtain from your browser on our server logs. This information can include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider ("ISP"), and other data. We may use this information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may associate this information with your Personal Information to resolve technical issues and support security for our users.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored in a browser-related file on your computer's hard drive when you use the Site. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer, and are read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Our primary use of cookies is to improve your experience on the Site. For example, storing a cookie on your computer allows you to login without typing the registered e-mail address or registration number and password. We also use cookies to deliver information and fresh content specific to your interests. If you do not want these cookies stored on your computer you can reject cookies by modifying your browser setting accordingly (Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences). However, if you choose to reject cookies, you may not be able to access products and services that we offer that require you to "login" or "sign in". Please also note that certain types of emails available through the Site may automatically log you into the Site and/or set new cookies when you click on the links in the emails and that you may need to manually remove such cookies if you do not want them to be set on your computer. See section titled "Third Party Ad Servers" below for additional information about cookies.
Web Beacons
A web beacon (also known as a clear gif) is a tiny graphic with a unique identifier that is placed on a web page or within an email. It is similar in function to a cookie, and is used to collect a limited set of information, such as a cookie number, time and date of page view, and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides. My Professional Center and its third party advertisers may use web beacons to compile aggregate statistics about which advertisements and promotions users have seen and how users responded to them. This information helps us better manage content on the Site by informing us what content is effective. In addition, we may use web beacons in our promotional e-mail messages to count how many messages and which emails have been opened and acted upon. This use allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and our marketing campaigns. My Professional Center does associate web beacons to individual member personal information for internal purposes only, in an effort to understand our members individual preferences with our email products.
3. When You Purchase a Product or Service From My Professional Center
If you choose to purchase a My Professional Center product or service, you will be required to provide us with certain contact information, including your name, e-mail address and billing address. We also require other information necessary to process your payment (such as a credit card number and expiration date). We may use the information that you provide to us to bill you for products and services you request, or to notify you of additional products and services we may offer. When you purchase a membership or other products/services on the Site you are consenting to our delivery of this information to our service providers, which may include banks and credit card companies that we use to process the transaction. For more information please see the section below regarding "Service Providers".
4. When You Use Message Boards, Chat Rooms, and Photo Albums
Information submitted to photo albums, message boards and chat rooms is displayed publicly, so please exercise care in deciding what information you wish to disclose. Information posted in private groups is viewable by those who are invited to participate by the owner of the group. Please note however, that although private, these communications and postings are subject to the same disclosures as stated above in "When You Use the Message Center". To protect the privacy of our members, My Professional Center does not allow the public posting of personal contact information. We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any activity and content associated with the public and private forums and interactive areas on the Site. Please review our Terms & Conditions for our guidelines regarding your appropriate use of these areas.
5. When You Use the "Invite-A-Friend" or "Email this Page" Features
If you elect to use our referral service for informing a friend about our Site, you will be asked to provide your friend's name and e-mail address. We will then automatically send the friend a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the Site. We ask for this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time e-mail and tracking the success of our referral program.
6. When You Participate in Surveys
From time-to-time, we may request information from our users via surveys. Although the responses we collect in online surveys are anonymous, we may occasionally request contact information (such as your name and e-mail address) or demographic information (such as your zip code). Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary, such that you have the choice of whether you wish to disclose the requested information. However, we encourage our members to participate in these surveys as they provide us with important information that helps us to improve the types of services we offer, and how we provide them to you.
7. How We May Supplement Your Information
In order for us to properly fulfill our obligations to our members, it may be necessary for us from time to time to supplement the information we receive through your use of the Site with information from third party resources. For example, we may purchase third party marketing data and address information and add it to our existing database to better target our advertising and provide pertinent offers we think you would be interested in.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
1. Confidentiality
My Professional Center only shares Your Member Information with others when we have your permission, or under the types of circumstances described in this Privacy Policy. In addition, we limit access to Your Member Information to only those employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or to do their jobs.
2. Third Party Offers
We may allow other companies to offer you products and services, including offers through our Site, co-branded pages hosted by the Third Party or via email. Whether or not you decide to participate in such an offer is up to you. If you purchase a product or service on a co-branded page, or via a third party offer on our Site, that requires you to submit financial and personal information, you are also consenting to our delivery of this information to that party. The offer will notify you if any financial or personally identifiable information will be shared. Such third party will be authorized to use this information in keeping with our contractual relationship with them and in accordance with their own privacy policy and information practices. We do not control these third parties and you agree that My Professional Center is not liable for their acts, or any failure to act on their part.
3. Third Party Advertising
The advertisements that appear on the Site are generally delivered through internal software operated by My Professional Center. As noted above, we may use Your Member Information to provide you with advertisements that are targeted to your specific needs and interests. These advertisements link directly to third party websites. My Professional Center has no control over the content or privacy policies of such sites, and therefore we encourage you to review such content and policies prior to submitting any personal information to them. We do share certain aggregate information, such as demographic information and the number of times that our members have viewed an advertisement, with our third party advertisers. This information is not linked with any personally identifiable information, and we do not provide any such information to third party advertisers.

My Professional Center may use aggregated, statistical information to describe our membership and to establish advertising and other business relationships with third parties. My Professional Center may serve you with targeted advertisements based on your personal and/or profile information, but My Professional Center does not provide any of this personal and/or profile information to an advertiser or any third party with the exception of those uses expressly disclosed in this policy. However, if you click or view an ad on our site then you consent to the likelihood that the advertiser will assume that you meet the targeting criteria, if any, used to display such ad, and as described above, you will be subject to the advertiser's privacy policy and information collection practices (if any).
4. Third Party Ad Servers
My Professional Center may allow other companies, called third party ad servers or ad networks, to display advertisements on the My Professional Center Site. Some of these ad networks may place a persistent cookie on your computer. Doing this allows them to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad networks may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. My Professional Center does not have access to or control over the cookies that may be placed by these parties on your computer, and has no control over these parties' privacy policies or information collection practices (if any).
5. Service Providers
We may sometimes use a third party to provide specific services on our behalf, including sending e-mails to our members, conducting member surveys, processing transactions or performing statistical analysis of our services. In these cases, we may provide certain personal information, such as your name and e-mail address and other financial information necessary for the service to be provided. However, these third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of this information and are prohibited from retaining, sharing, storing or using this information for any other purposes.

My Professional Center may provide certain portions of Your Member Information, such as your email address or name, back to your ISP if we have an existing advertising relationship with them. This is done to allow them to target or discontinue your exposure to our advertisements, once you have become a participating member of our Site. As part of our agreement with your ISP, they will be required to maintain this information in a confidential manner and use it solely for the purpose described in this Policy.
6. Business Transitions
In the event that My Professional Center goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, liquidation or sale of all or a portion of its assets, our members personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Members will be notified of any such business transition via e-mail and/or prominent notice on the Site.
7. Legal Disclosure
We may disclose Your Member Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to applicable law, comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on My Professional Center or the Site, protect and defend the rights or property of My Professional Center, or investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms & Conditions.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM MY PROFESSIONAL CENTER
It is our policy to send you only the types of e-mail that you elect to receive, in addition to our customary business communications (e.g., e-mail address confirmation, renewal notifications, new product offerings, administrative messages, other offline communications, etc.). Accordingly, while we reserve the right to send you our customary business communications without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them, we provide you with the opportunity to select whether or not you wish to receive our subscription-based e-mails. In addition, every subscription-based e-mail communication from us contains instructions on how you can remove yourself from that specific mailing list (in such a case, you will continue to receive our customary business communications). If you have questions about changing your e-mail preferences, please email Member Care.
THE SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We have instituted physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to store and maintain Your Information in a secure environment. For example, when highly confidential information, such as a credit card number, is transmitted through our website, it is encrypted by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software. You may also be required to use a password to access certain pages on the Site where certain types of Your Information can be changed or deleted. It is therefore important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password, emails which we may send you and to your computer. You take full responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Furthermore, while we have implemented safeguards, you should be aware that Internet security technology rapidly changes. We cannot guarantee that the safeguards we employ today can protect Your Information from the threats of tomorrow. You should also be aware that despite our efforts, factors beyond our control may result in disclosure of Your Information. Accordingly, we are not in a position to guarantee that your information will be secure under all circumstances.
CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
My Professional Center may update this policy from time to time as our information practices are modified or changed. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat Your Information by sending a notice to the primary e-mail address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on the Site for a period of not less than thirty (30) days prior to the change. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
